India vs Australia, WTC Final 2023, Day 2: India Trails by 318 Runs at Stumps


Australia dominated the proceedings on the second day of the WTC Final 2023 against India. Despite a commendable comeback from the Indian bowlers in the first and second sessions, Australia asserted their dominance. Mohammed Siraj stood out with a fantastic four-wicket haul as India managed to dismiss Australia for 469 runs.

In reply, India got off to a poor start, losing both openers Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill with only 30 runs on the board. Cheteshwar Pujara and Virat Kohli couldn't provide substantial contributions, and Ravindra Jadeja fell after scoring 48 runs. At the end of the day's play, India was struggling at 151/5, trailing Australia by a significant margin of 318 runs.
