Pawar Holds Separate Meetings with Shinde and Adani

Mumbai, June 1: Nationalist Congress Party president Sharad Pawar met with Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde at the latter's official residence 'Varsha' in Mumbai. The purpose of the meeting was to invite Shinde for the 75th Foundation Day of Maratha Mandir, a charitable institution for which Pawar serves as the president.

During their meeting, Pawar and Shinde discussed the challenges faced by actors, technicians, and individuals involved in the Marathi film and theater industry. Pawar, in a tweet, highlighted the importance of addressing these issues and requested Shinde to organize a meeting to address the grievances of those affected. However, Shinde, in a separate tweet, stated that their meeting was merely a cordial exchange of greetings.

Additionally, sources close to Pawar revealed that a delegation from Singapore had approached him with the intention of discussing matters related to Adani. As a result, Pawar and the delegation met at his residence on Thursday night. Speculations arose in political circles when industrialist Gautam Adani paid a visit to the residence of the NCP chief during the late evening.

It is noteworthy that Pawar had expressed opposition to the Joint Parliamentary Committee's report on Adani, prepared by the research firm Hindenburg. Instead, he advocated for the establishment of a committee appointed by the Supreme Court to thoroughly investigate the matter.
