New York, June 21, 2023: Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the International Yoga Day celebrations at the United Nations headquarters in New York, where participants from 135 different nationalities came together, establishing a remarkable Guinness World Record.
During the event, officials confirmed, "A Guinness world record for the highest number of nationalities in a Yoga session was achieved at the Yoga Day event led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the UN headquarters in New York."
Michael Empric, the official adjudicator from Guinness World Records, expressed his enthusiasm about the Yoga Day event, stating, "Today, there was an attempt to set a Guinness World Records title for the most nationalities participating in a Yoga lesson.
