The Australian government expressed that PM Modi's visit builds upon the Australia-India Annual Leaders' Summit held earlier this year in March, as well as the discussions at the recent G7 Summit and the Quad Leaders' meeting in Hiroshima over the weekend.

Renewable energy development, fostering people-to-people connections, and measures to strengthen security and defense cooperation will also be key areas of focus during the discussions. The leaders will address maritime security concerns and deliberate on strategies to establish a secure, stable, and prosperous Indo-Pacific region. Albanese emphasized the shared commitment of India and Australia towards a stable and prosperous Indo-Pacific, noting their pivotal role in supporting this vision.
Furthermore, Australian business leaders are eager to explore opportunities stemming from the Australia-India CEO forum held in Mumbai earlier this year. The forum opened avenues for productive discussions on economic collaboration and trade partnerships.
