May 27, 2023: A shocking incident took place in a government school in Bihar, where a snake was found in the mid-day meal served to the students. The incident occurred at a school in Forbesganj, Araria district. After consuming the meal, numerous children fell sick and were subsequently admitted to a hospital in Forbesganj for treatment.
According to reports, an NGO had prepared 'khichdi' for the mid-day meal, and it was during the serving of this meal that a snake was discovered in one of the plates. As soon as the news spread throughout the school, the distribution of food was immediately stopped. Unfortunately, the students who had already consumed the meal started experiencing vomiting and were quickly taken to the Forbesganj hospital.
Senior officials, including the SDM, SDO, and DSP, promptly arrived at the scene to assess the situation. Currently, an investigation is underway to determine how the snake ended up in the meal. Further details regarding the incident are expected to emerge soon.
