In a devastating incident in Maharashtra's Dhule district, a trailer truck collided with a container vehicle, a four-wheeler, and multiple two-wheelers before crashing into a restaurant and a bus stop. The accident, which occurred near Palasner village along the Madhya Pradesh border on the Mumbai-Agra highway, claimed the lives of at least 10 people, including three minors, while leaving around 30 others injured.

Authorities reported that the truck, en route from Indore to Dhule, allegedly experienced brake failure, leading to the 46-year-old driver, Kanaiyalal Banjara, losing control of the vehicle. The Shirpur Taluka police are currently investigating the incident to determine the exact cause, registering a case against Banjara under relevant sections of culpable homicide not amounting to murder, as well as for rash and negligent driving, as per the Indian Penal Code and Motor Vehicle Act.

According to an eyewitness, Lotan Mohan Jagdev, the truck was traveling at a high speed when it initially collided with a container near Parmar Hotel before crashing into a four-wheeler. The driver's loss of control resulted in the trailer hitting several two-wheelers, then smashing into a small eatery, and finally crashing into the adjacent bus stop. The trailer ultimately toppled and came to a halt.

Upon receiving the news, the Dhule police swiftly arrived at the scene and immediately transported the injured to nearby hospitals. Unfortunately, ten individuals, including the driver and the cleaner of the trailer, succumbed to their injuries before reaching the hospital. The deceased were identified as Kanaiyalal Banjara, Surpal Rajput, Pratap Singh Bhim Singh Girase (70), Nirmala Pavara (15), Pankaj Pavara (7), Sanjay Pavara (38), Ritesh Pawara (14), Bhuri Sursingh Pavara (28), Sunita Rajesh Khandelwal (51), and Dashrat Pavara.

While the driver and cleaner hailed from Rajasthan, the remaining victims were residents of Dhule. The injured individuals are currently receiving medical treatment at Dhule Civil Hospital and Shirpur Civil Hospital.

Police stated that most of the affected individuals were either waiting at the bus stop or dining at the adjacent eatery. Tragically, a woman named Khandelwal, who was traveling in the four-wheeler with three others, also lost her life in the accident. The investigation is ongoing, and further details will be revealed following a comprehensive inquiry into the incident.
