June 27, 2023: Renowned YouTuber Devraj Patel, known for his popular channel 'Dil Se Bura Lagta Hai,' tragically lost his life at the age of 22 in a fatal road accident in Raipur, Chattisgarh. The news has shocked and saddened his fans and the online community.
Patel, who had amassed a subscriber count of 444K on YouTube, was filming a video in Chattisgarh when the accident occurred. Riding as a pillion passenger on a motorcycle with a friend, their journey took a tragic turn when a truck collided with their bike. As a result, Patel fell beneath the rear wheels of the truck, sustaining critical injuries.
The accident took place on Monday around 3:30 pm in the Labhandih area under Telibandha police station limits. Patel was returning from Nava Raipur after shooting content for his channel 'Dil Se Bura Lagta Hai.'
Following the incident, Rakesh Manhar, the motorcycle rider, escaped unharmed and promptly called for an ambulance. Patel was rushed to a nearby hospital, but unfortunately, medical professionals pronounced him dead upon arrival. The police have detained the driver involved in the accident, and the truck has been seized for further investigation.
The news of Devraj Patel's untimely demise has sent shockwaves throughout the online community. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel expressed his condolences and acknowledged Patel's impact in the entertainment industry. Baghel shared his grief on social media, stating, "Devraj Patel, who made his place among millions of people with 'Dil Se Bura Lagta Hai,' bringing laughter to us all, left us today. Devraj Patel, originally from the Mahasamund district, had been residing in Raipur. His rise to fame began in August 2020 when his video 'Dil Se Bura Lagta Hai' went viral during the pandemic, accumulating over 1.7 million views. His humorous content and vibrant personality continued to captivate audiences, leading him to receive the YouTube Silver Play Button in March 2021 for surpassing 100K subscribers.
