Breaking News! NIA Shares Photos of Suspects Involved in Attack on Indian High Commission in London

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has released photographs of the individuals suspected of carrying out a violent protest at the Indian high commission in London on March 19. The protesters, who were supporters of the Khalistan movement, pulled down the national flag during the demonstration

In a tweet, the central agency requested the public's help in identifying the suspects. The tweet read, "REQUEST FOR IDENTIFICATION/INFORMATION. On 19.03.23 these persons were involved in an attack on the High Commission of India, London. They caused grievous injury and disrespected the Indian National Flag. If anyone has any information about them, please Whatsapp/DM @+917290009373."

This development comes after the NIA released CCTV footage showing the moments leading up to the attack on the high commission by pro-Khalistani protesters. Following the incident, the home ministry officials held a meeting with UK representatives, and subsequently, the NIA took over the investigation. A team of NIA officials was dispatched to London to probe the arson that occurred at the high commission.

During the protest, viral videos showed several demonstrators carrying yellow and black Khalistan flags, demanding the release of Waris Punjab De chief and Khalistani preacher Amritpal Singh. One protester even climbed onto a balcony of the high commission office and pulled down the Indian tricolour flag.

The mastermind behind the violence on March 19 is believed to be Avtar Singh Khanda, also known as Azad or Ranjhodh Singh. Khanda, the self-proclaimed leader of the designated terror outfit Khalistan Liberation Force (KLF), aims to radicalize youth in Punjab and other countries such as the UK, Canada, the US, Germany, and Australia against India.
