On a momentous Wednesday, fans of actor Sunny Deol from all over the country, including Pune, Nashik, and Delhi, gathered in Juhu, Mumbai, for the highly anticipated trailer launch of "Gadar 2." After a prolonged wait of 22 years since the release of the original film, excitement filled the air as enthusiasts eagerly looked forward to this much-awaited sequel.
During the trailer launch event, Sunny openly expressed his feelings, stating, "Gadar was made by the people, and they made it in such a way that we felt like we touched the skies. There was this fear of revisiting such an iconic film, and that's why I was quite apprehensive. However, when Anil ji narrated the story to me, it felt like 'Gadar.'"
Among the attendees at the trailer launch was actor Ameesha Patel, reprising her role as Sakeen in the second part. She revealed that she was initially advised not to take up the role in Gadar 2, as it required her to play a mother. She recalled how people used derogatory remarks about the first film, which deeply affected her. Despite the challenge of portraying a mother at a young age, Ameesha worked diligently and put in twice the effort.
Directed by Anil Sharma, "Gadar 2" features an impressive cast, including Ameesha and Sunny, along with Utkarsh Sharma, Simrat Kaur, Luv Sinha, Manish Wadhwa, Mir Sarwar, Gaurav Chopra, and others in prominent roles.
The trailer launch also saw the presence of renowned singers Mithoon, Aditya Narayan, and Alka Yagnik, who enthralled the audience by singing the movie's popular tracks like "Udd Jaa" and others.
